Well as you could probably tell by the name of this blog, I am finished with the bathroom! I really enjoyed this project & I am very happy with the result. Andy was impressed that I did as good of job as I did & finished it as quickly as I have. I am sorry it took so long to get this wrote but I was waiting until I could get everything back in place. I replaced the nobs on the vanity & the screws that came with them were too short so I had to wait for Andy to bring me some longer ones. During the time I was waiting for new screws I hurt my back & had to wait a little longer before completing the project.
I think that my favorite part of the whole experience was when I had finished the painting & was able to turn the toilet back on & we were again able to use this bathroom; my son went to take a shower & he loves to sing in the shower made up his own little rock song about "the bathroom being back in business"! I loved it, I laughed so hard! I had no idea how much a project in the bathroom was going to affect my kids lives, but it was so worth it just to hear Wesley's song.
Here are some pics of the final result, & thank you everyone for the support & ideas & for just following along with me through this! I should also add that this entire project cost us about $7 total!!!
Unfortunately during the cleaning process of the glass doors on the cabinets I broke one of the doors. I have not yet decided what to do about it yet but for now I'm not too concerned about it.
Baby, you did a phenomenal job and I am very proud of you!
ReplyDeleteJust so all the rest of you know, I really didn't help her much at all. I helped hang the cabinets back up and I got her the longer screws for the vanity knobs and that is all! She did this all by herself and I really am impressed! :)
Tammy, you did such a great job! Your bathroom looks really really nice! I love what you did, sorry about the mishap, but that can be fixed later. You go girl! Blessings jane
ReplyDeleteBeautiful work! This is Sally.
ReplyDeleteThank you all! I really am happy with the job & I'm glad to have the walls matching! It is no longer a busy room!
ReplyDeleteTammy you're awesome! I love what you did to your bathroom, what a difference! If you go to a glass shop they can replace the glass, it's generally not that expensive for a small piece of glass to get cut for you.
ReplyDeleteWow!
Thanks, darlin! I don't know about me being awesome but I think my bathroom looks awesome! I'm not so concerned about the glass right now; I am also considering replacing the glass with wood or just not worrying about it at all for now.
ReplyDeleteI just updated this with the cost of the project for those who have already read it, they may want to skim through it again!
ReplyDeleteTammy, I have been given the liebster award, and I had to pick someone else to give it to,this award is given to little known blogs that are deserving. And I choose yours! Just go to my blog read and claim your award.Blessings jane
